Sports are a great way to meet people, get involved in the community and SWEAT! IJC believes that these are important values and encourages it's employees to get involved in sporting activities. Our computer technician is an avid badminton enthusiast.
Bill has been taken up in the running craze that is rampant everywhere here. Of particular popularity are the infamous Japanese "Ekiden" or road race relays that take place every fall. Bill has been bestowed the honor of being selected as a member of the Ueda city team in our prefectural championships the last 3 years. As the only foreigner on a team the press has a heyday every time he is selected. The following are articles taken from 3 of the newspapers recently. Bill even went as far as to complete 2 full marathons this year. His best time is 2:47:32.
Let IJC assist your team/individual athlete(s) while competing in Japan. For more information, please contact Bill at wjrettie@iname.com
